I’m not sure if you remember but a couple of months ago, my black Maje leather jacket got stolen. I’ve loved the jacket for so many reasons, but most of all because it was a birthday present from my parents a few years ago. It was the very first time that someone has stolen something from me. For some of you this might sound incredible weird, but I was in proper shock and in absolute disbelief for days. I just couldn’t believe someone would grab my leather jacket and run off. Plus, proper leather jackets can be so expensive and are definitively not a cheap investment. So, I decided to take a few weeks to do some research on how to find the best leather jacket. How I concluded? The right one should be a bit of a biker jacket, yet still classy and have the softest leather….
If there’s one single piece of clothing I can’t go without during summer it’s probably a good pair of palazzo pants. Honestly, this summer I literally lived in them. In all different styles and lengths. While I love a cute pair of denim shorts, I don’t also feel like wearing super short cut-offs is something “city-appropriate”. I finally hunted a pair of white palazzo pants down, and I got lucky at Marks & Spencer. It’s Notting Hill. read more
In just a couple of weeks from now, Munich’s Theresienwiese will yet again turn into the biggest Volksfest around the world, attracting millions of visitors from close and far. Once you hear the famous words “O’zapft is“, you know it’s this time of the year again: It’s Oktoberfest. Despite being German, I don’t really like beer. Yet, I love visiting the Wiesn (colloquial for Oktoberfest), because almost everyone makes the effort to wear their nicest Dirndl and Lederhosen. I got my Dirndl a few years ago when I first moved to Bavaria and would love to get a second one. With a back then Bavarian boyfriend who’s mom used to run a Dirndl shop, I’ve learned all the do’s & don’ts. Plus, my wardrobe is pretty well prepared to attend this year’s Oktoberfest. So how does my perfect Oktoberfest look looks like? read more
