As you might have realized, I love, love, love (!) my Stuart Weitzman Lowland over-the-knee boots. It was a long fight staring my heart vs. my bank account – you can read everything about it here. As you clearly can see, my bank account lost over my heart and I’m just happy every time I wear them. Because I love wearing them so much and rainy London doesn’t offer too many opportunities to do so, I decided that paired with the right dress they can be worn to the office. Isn’t that dress just a stunner? Tweed has really grown onto me lately. In the past, I made sure to stay away from tweed as I felt I was too young to wear it – but lately there are so many cute options out there that I can’t help myself to add a few more tweed pieces to my wardrobe (seen here, here or here).
One fact I like most about London are all its amazing brunch spots across town. There’s literally nothing that feels more like a lazy weekend than starting it with a long, delicious brunch. Thanks to many Aussie making their ways to London, there are so many great places offering a range of healthy, fresh and seasonal driven menus and the best coffees! I love having a few regular places I tend to visit over and over again, like the Italian Garden Café in Hyde Park or Granger’s in Notting Hill, but I’m all about daring to try a new place like Brown & Rosie, which I spotted on Instagram. Turns out it’s yet another great Australian foodie place in London, which I tried together with my dear friend Annika yesterday. read more
While I’m currently sitting three out if this week’s five working days in class – studying all about accounting – eiks! – wearing rather casual outfits including jeans and sneakers, I’ve decided to share an office look with you guys since this has been much requested lately. Dressing for an work environment can be challenging at times. I’ve decided to feature a series of office looks that I wear with you, so that you can feel just as confident as I feel trying to master adulthood (and your job). read more
There are some pieces of clothing you see and instantly know that you need them in your life – different combos going through your mind. That’s exactly how I felt when I was browsing one of the local Zara stores after a full weekend of studying and saw this ruffled shirt. And then, there are some pieces of clothing where people’s reactions tend to differ sharply. That’s exactly what has happened with that shirt. I’ve posted this picture on Instagram (@vicko_m) and the shirt got so much praise! So, I decided to wear it to work one day paired with a black skirt.
